New Gateway Tardy Policy
Gateway's attendance goal this year is 95% average daily attendance (ADA).
Students with 95% > and or 0 tardies will be entered into a drawing to win the following:
- $10-$20 gift cards
- Gateway Gear
- Flat screen TV
- Phone Cases
- College Gear
- Airpods
- Water bottles
- Sporting Event Tickets - (Nuggets, Rapids, Rockies)
- Snacks
- Blankets
- Homecoming & Prom Tickets
- MUCH MUCH MORE!!
What happens if I'm late to class?
Students with 6+ tardies in a week will receive:
- Parent/Guardian phone call home
- One on One meeting with your grade-level dean
AND
- Wednesday restoration after school from 3:30pm-4:30pm
OR
- Two lunch detentions (Thursdays and Fridays)
- Students who fail to attend will face additional consequences
- Parent/guardian meeting with your assistant principal, dean, case manager and counselor.
- Parent/guardian shadow
- Saturday school
- Other assigned consequences
Students with 5+ unexcused absences in a quarter will receive:
- Daily or weekly progress monitoring/ check-in's
- Regularly scheduled parent/guardian meetings
- Parent/guardian or staff classroom shadow
- Home visit
- Saturday School
- other loss of privileges (for example: no homecoming, parking permit, athletic events, etc)
