School Psychologist

All developing humans should have access to professionals who are passionate about supporting them in reaching their potential. It is a privilege to support our Gateway students in developing social-emotional skills that will support them to be successful in High School and beyond. Emotional intelligence is the number one predictor of life satisfaction and success.

About Me

Our students and faculty call me KJ, which was given to me by a group of my students early on in my career and it "stuck." I have had the privilege of serving our youth and families through a variety of positions prior to and after earning my degrees. I am passionate about social justice and providing access to quality mental health care for our developing humans (birth through 21). Outside of my work at Gateway, my family and friends are my life. I have the privilege of raising three developing humans and am lucky to have four supportive parents, friends that have become family, a dream of a partner, and two bonus developing humans and a dog. I love to dance and hike. We are always tackling home projects or trying to travel. Life is complex and challenging and my clan supports me in bringing joy, adventure, and growth on a daily basis.
