My favorite part of working at Gateway is being a part of a community where I can bond with students in a shared language and culture. Students can see that being bicultural and bilingual is something to be proud of. Somos de aqui y de alla. We are from here and from there. And although we may not all have the same language and culture, we are all more similar than we are different.
About Me
The best word to describe me is connector. I really enjoy getting students connected to the people, places, and things that they need, and the things that make their eyes light up. The best feeling is supporting students in getting closer to what makes their interest spark. If you’re wondering what makes my eyes light up, it includes R&B music, thriller movies, traveling, and practicing restorative yoga.
